【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesdesignandconstructioncriteriaforasemi-flush,oiltight,andwatertightboltedmanholecoverassembly.1.2Themanholecoverassemblydepictedinthisspecificationisforuseindecksorbulkheadsrequiringoiltightandwatertightcoversthatarenotrequiredtobecompletelyflush.Manholecoverassembliesshallbecompletewithcovers,mountingrings,gaskets,weldedstuds,washers,andnuts.1.3Handles,ifrequired,shallbeasspecifiedintheorderinginformation.1.4Thevaluesstatedininchpoundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisspecificationisnotapplicabletocertainhazardouscargos(seeSection46CFR153.254and46CFR154.340).1.6Thisspecificationprovidesdesignandconstructionformanholecoverassembliessubjectedtolateralpressuressuchasresultingfromvehicleloadsorhydrostaticpressures.Wheremanholecoverassembliesaresubjectedtoprimaryorcyclicloads,otherreinforcementorconstructioncriteriamaybenecessarytointegratethemanholeassemblywiththerequiredstructuralreinforcementforopeningsindecksorbulkheads.Designofthemanholecoverassemblyforprimaryorcyclicloadsisbeyondthescopeofthisspecification.
