【摘要】:Screeningmethodsareoftenusedtodeterminethepresenceorabsenceofaspecificanalyte,groupsofanalytes,classesofcompoundsorotherindicatorsofchemicalcompoundsinordertodetermineiffurtheranalysisoractionisnecessary.Thedeterminationwhethertoproceedwithfurtheractionisusefulinreducingthenumberofnegativeresultsforwhichthescreeningmethodservesasasurrogate.Theuseofscreeningmethods,whethertogeneratequalitativeorsemi-quantitativeresults,isincreasinglybecomingausefultoolforregulatorymonitoring,processcontrol,andsitecharacterization.Theappropriateuseofascreeningmethod,oranyothermethodforthatmatter,isdependentupontheDataQualityObjectives(DQOs)thataredefinedbytheuserofthedata.PersonsresponsibleforassessingthequalityofthedatageneratedbytheuseofscreeningmethodsshouldhavedetailedQualityControlguidelinesbywhichtoassessdataquality.1.1ThisguidecoversgeneralconsiderationsfortheQualityControlpracticesforusewithscreeningmethodsfororganicandinorganicconstituentsinwater.Methodsareprovidedbyvariousstandardsettingbodies,governmentalagencies,aswellasmanydomesticandinternationalmanufacturers.1.2ThisguideprovidesgeneralQCproceduresthatareapplicabletoabroadrangeofscreeningmethodologies.Theseprocedureshelptoensurethequalityofdatathatisgenerated.Additional,method-specificorprojectspecificrequirementsmaybenecessary.Thisguidealsoincludesgeneralconsiderationsregardingproperutilizationofscreeningmethods.
